Wholesale pu erh tea is the purchase of pu erh tea in bulk directly from producers, factories, or large distributors, typically at lower per-unit prices than retail. It is commonly bought by tea shops, restaurants, and online sellers who want to resell or serve pu erh to their customers.
Why Buy Pu Erh Tea in Bulk?
Buying in bulk reduces the cost per kilogram and gives you access to a wider range of vintages and blends. It also lets you build a consistent inventory for your business. Many wholesalers offer tiered pricing, so larger orders get better rates.
How Do You Choose a Reliable Wholesale Pu Erh Tea Supplier?
Look for suppliers with transparent sourcing, clear factory information, and sample policies. Request samples before committing to a large order. Check reviews and ask for references from other buyers. A good supplier will provide details on harvest year, region, and production method.
What Affects Wholesale Pu Erh Tea Prices?
Prices depend on age, origin, leaf grade, and whether the tea is raw (sheng) or ripe (shou). Aged teas and famous mountain regions cost more. Packaging and order volume also influence the final price. Always compare quotes from multiple suppliers.
How Should You Store Bulk Pu Erh Tea?
Store pu erh in a cool, dark, and dry place away from strong odors. Use airtight containers or original packaging if it is breathable. Proper storage allows the tea to age and improve over time.
